I was wondering that myself!

You are doing good Ashley! Where is Michelle, Amanda and Ken? Check in guys!

After two weeks of working out, I got re-weighted and measured today. I had lost a total of 9 lbs and 6 inches. That is a total of 12 lbs in 3 weeks! I'm on my way to being the Biggest Loser! Do you all think you can beat me? Better get busy!!

Love you all! Take care.

Where is Everybody!?!

Well.....my update is that I have officially lost 5 pounds! However, my company bought breakfast and lunch today, and tomorrow they are buying all three meals!!!! And it is NOT healthy stuff down the menu. I am doing my best, though. Jared and I even went away for the three day weekend, I didn't lose, but I didn't gain. And that says a whole lot!

How is every one else doing? Oh, also, we bought a book called Calorie King. It has all the major fast food places and restaurants, and food choices, ect. We also bought a book called Eat This, Not That. It is REALLY cool. It will tell you the better menu items at fast food places and restaurants, but not just that. It goes all the way to what fish you should buy, snack foods, which cereals are better than others and why, etc. etc. It even talks about beer, fruit juices, coffee, a crazy amount of useful information.

Working Out

Well I weighed in and I was 185.3. I was very pleased with that. My biggest accomplishment is going to workout FIVE times since last Friday. I am really hoping to keep it up. We will see how it goes:) I also am starting GRAD school this week, but I am not going to let it effect my workout. I am going to keep it up and keep it moving!

Still Going.........

Well, I only lost two pounds this week! But-it is a start, and that is without having a regular exercise regimen in yet. So, we'll see how next week goes when I jump start that.

Amanda and I thought that our weigh in could be the morning of May 1st (the day before the wedding). Is everyone okay with that?

And, Ken should be posting by now. I called and talked to him personally last week. So, where are you brother?

Way to go Mom! I am so glad you have Janell and a trainer to work with. I wish I had a trainer! :)

Love you all!

Made it through a Week and still standing!

Hi family! I made it through a whole week. My trainer told me to only come 3 days this past week, so I can start out easy....so he says! Actually, I really didn't get too sore. Janell has been meeting me there, but she sometimes leaves before I do. My trainer is really good (and good looking too Amanda!). We'll see how I survive next week going 5 days a week!

Hope everyone is doing good on their goals. We really do have to decide what the prize is to make this more interesting!! Any ideas?

Ashley, did you e-mail Ken? I haven't seen any activity from him on here! Come on Ken, get with the program!!

Love you all!!!

If you want to go even further.......

Oh Meechelle, you so funny girl! (He, he) I am about to start watching the first episode of The Biggest Loser-Couples and there was an ad before the show challenging America to lose one million pounds! Crazy, but if any nation has that much weight to lose and then some, it is US! So, if you go to www.biggestloser.msn.com you can sign up daily to win prizes. You pledge the weight you will lose this year, and there are periodic prizes. Also, you can get a partner and enter the year long race, tracking your progress on a blog type thing (I've never heard of this blog system, but they will show you how to do it). The couple to win gets a free trainer for one year! Anyway, I am going to see if Jared will do it with me. I think winning depends not only on the amount you and your partner lose, but also how you track your progress, if you meet the goals, and a few other things. All the rules can be found on the web site. Anyway, this is not to say that we won't be loyal to this site, of course, but if you did want even more motivation, there you go :)

Family- I am VERY excited about this! And I can tell all us girls are, we just got to get these guys posting :)

I am doing okay. Could be better. It has been a struggle starting a new job at the same time as this new goal. People bring tacos to work, cake for birthdays, and a manager has taken me to lunch for the past two days. BUT- I will have to start holding my ground and politely say NO! Because, family, I am going to be THE BIGGEST LOSER!!!!!!!

Love you, bye :)

a little late.....

Well, I am finally "weighing in" in the morning. But, I have had a couple of setbacks. Kevin and I had an anniversary to celebrate and then I got pretty sick over the weekend. But I am recovered and ready to go. I am inspired by Estelle, also. The hardest part is getting started, but at least it is better when you have a support system. Well, I guess... may the best man LOSE!!!!!!
haha
Michelle
I forgot...
The Biggest Loser Couples comes on tomorrow on NBC so check it out:)
Amanda

I Am Impressed...

I have to say I am impressed with Estelle getting up at 5:30:) I am also glad you got a personal trainer for a while. They are worth it!
As far as my progress goes, I am doing pretty good so far! I came home and proceeded to nibble on all the "bad" foods and threw the rest away. I have also gone to work out Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and today after school. It is easy to go NOW, but I am worried about the next few weeks!
As far as food goes, I have not have a soda since last Wednesday! I have heard Diet Cokes are dieuretics(sp?) and I am giving up all sodas until further notice and I am intaking more water then sodas! I have found a routine that worked well for me today. I make my Wulong tea and "flavored" water the night before school. I am drinking my tea as I am getting ready and I drink my flavored water in the morning at school. At lunch, I buy a bottle of water and drink that for lunch and I finish it at my workout:) I hope to keep this up!
Keep it up everyone and good luck!

Monday January 7, 2008

Well, I was up at 5:30 this morning and at the gym by 6:00. Janell met me there. Her personal trainer was "going easy" on me on the first day, but my body doesn't feel like it was treated easy. He gave me tomorrow off. He said for the first week, 3 days was enough. It was really tiring, but I did have more energy afterward. I told him what we were doing and he says he guarantees I will be the biggest looser! So look out everyone! According to my scales tonight, I have lost 3 lbs since last Wed. night! Yeah!!!

We have to decide what the prize is going to be. Any ideas!

Why this site?

Well, our family has decided to be the Biggest Losers! Problem is, only one of us can really be the BIGGEST loser. And honestly, we are all seriously fighting for the title :) Of course our motivation is based off of NBC's Reality Television show about ordinary people coming together to push their limits and lose mega amounts of weight. That is what we hope to do. And what better way to do that than to motivate eachother! Since Estelle is in Tennessee, Amanda in Houston, Ken in Indianapolis, and Michelle, Jared, and I are in La Vernia, this is the best way we can encourage each other along.

So, family, here we go!
